About Us

The Order of St George is a Confraternal Order of Christian Knighthood, with our main charitable aim being to provide aid to persecuted Christian Communities in the Middle East, particularly to the Anglican Church of St George in Baghdad, and the Coptic Christians of Egypt - both communities coming under very literal siege from fundamentalist elements in those countries.

The Order is open to both men and women of any Trinitarian Christian denomination, who have made significant contributions to humanity or achieved the pinnacle of success in their fields of endeavor.

The Order raises funds for these causes primarily through social events. There is one Investiture for the reception of new Companions, Knights and Dames each year. See the Events Page for information.
